These past 6 weeks...

These past 6 weeks have been overwhelming for me. Not only have I been anxious about writing this weeks project, my mother in-law has been in an assisted living facility for a few months and is coming home tomorrow, which is going to take time away from work and school. I will be glad when this week is over… :) Other than that, I am very impressed at how much I am learning about writing in this class. When we started week 1, I was so nervous…I have not always been the greatest writer. Writing my paper is making me realize how much I know.

Pressures of school...

School is having a great influence on my life at this point. Even though it is overwhelming at times because I also work a full-time job, my hard work in maintaining a 3.8 grade point average is giving me the inspiration to keep on pursuing my career in Health Information Management. In the end I know the work in obtaining a degree in HIM will pay off.

Giving credit where credit is due...

Anything that we need to “borrow” from another source needs to be cited. This is so that the person who thought of the idea and/or completed the work also gets credit for it. It also shows the audience reading the information that you did the necessary research to become knowledgeable on your topic.

Being an online-student...

I love being an online student. Of course, it has its down falls; however, I personally think it has more benefits than anything. The hardest thing for me is finding the motivation to sit down and complete my work. However, I like the fact that it is self-paced and I can teach myself and not have to wait until we get to that point in class. Another down fall is that online schooling costs more than say a community college or university.

What I like the most is that I can work full-time and still fit school into my busy schedule at home. Also, I like that I don't have to sit in a class room for hours during the week and listen to different seminars. With everything going on in my life, I'm not sure that I would be able to obtain my degree if online schooling wasn't available. I would definitely suggest online schooling to anyone who asked!

Hi Everyone. Welcome to my new blog... This is my first time at blogging. I'm usually not very good at expressing my thoughts and/or feelings so I'm not sure how easy this will be for me; however, I am willing to try anything once.
